Main Ring

The biggest ring at the show houses the most exciting, interesting and fun filled events throughout the day. Watch as the Steam Engines & Vintage Tractors trek through the ring and Farming through the year, demonstrating how your food goes from field to fork.

Not forgetting the legendary Young Farmers Lawn Mower Racing, these are no ordinary lawn mowers, channel your inner Lewis Hamilton and cheer on your favorite lawn mower to the finish line. End the day with the showdown of the Young Farmers year, the Tug o’ War Final, see the Men & Women pull their way to victory.

We also have Big Pete & Grim Reaper – The Monster Truck Display Team coming to the show this year. They are the only team who have two monster trucks working together at the same time within an arena, which is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on the crowds, with amusing and informative commentary from the driver throughout the show.

Equestrian Ring

The Equine Area aims to provide entertainment for everyone, horsey or otherwise! You never know, you may even learn something too!

If you have an equine related display and you would be interested in attending our 2019 show, please do get in touch – we would love to hear from you!

The Essex Hunt will be parading their pack of foxhounds in the Main Ring as well as provide us with a Chase me Charlie event. This is a great opportunity for the public, particularly the children, to meet the hounds and everybody is invited into the ring for this parade.

We have a new act this year from N & J Heavy Horses. They have been running for 16 years, where they provide a ridden show displaying their rare breeds of horses. We are really looking forward to having this new display and something different to watch.

Due to popular demand, we hope the Essex Police Dog handlers will be returning with their exciting and varied display of their dog handling skills.

As well as ring performances in 2019 we have equine related trade stands surrounding the ring with fantastic goods on offer.

This year we have Tom Watkins who will provide us with an exciting farrier display so make sure you don’t miss out!
